Being creative does not have to be limited to doing the traditionally “creative” things – like painting, writing and knitting. Don’t get me wrong – of course you can do all those things and get your creative juices flowing. All I’m saying is that those kinds of things are not the only things that can do so.
In fact, I am a firm believer that any number of things can get your imagination up and running and get you out of the rut of day-to-day life. Here, I am focusing on the many different and fun things you can do with your dog. Your dog is an unbelievably ideal companion – always around, always in the mood to have fun, and always enthusiastic about whatever it is you want to do. What more could you ask for?
So here are just a few ideas to get you started. I’m sure you’ll be able to think of plenty more.
To keep yourself and your dog physically and mentally fit, don’t just limit yourself to walks. If your dog is energetic and active, you could try dog agility with him. Just make sure you don’t overdo it off the bat and tire your dog out too much. You may want to consider something which will help his joints too, like Maxxidog’s omega oil. And be careful yourself too – you don’t want to fall down and injure yourself!
You can also use a number of high tech toys to play with your dog. You’ll be surprised at the number of cool stuff that has shown up in this area lately. You can find reviews and discounts for such dog products here. Some of them are smart puzzle type toys, others are training tools. Lots of stuff to explore!
Then there’s obedience. You could join up some obedience classes, and proceed all the way towards canine obedience competitions. That can be a lot of fun, and get you connected with a bunch of like-minded individuals.
These suggestions are just the tip of the iceberg. The possibilities are endless. Think of your dog as a partner in your creative endeavors, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how many things you two can do together.
